We offer the perfect balance between self lead activities and guided learning. Our teachers work with our students in all of the stereotypical early learning subjects. We also include monthly thematic lessons that awaken a child's curiosity about the world around them. To build on a child’s natural hunger to learn we incorporate lessons and activities with the STEAM approach, where science, technology, engineering, art, and math are part of everything we do in the classroom. These fields are deeply connected to the real world, representing skills and knowledge essential for children’s success. 

 

All teachers at OCPA hold current Criminal Background Checks, as well as First Aid, CPR, Food Handlers Cards, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse, and Children’s Health and Safety training.  To stay current and creative our staff also enjoys 18 hrs of addition training per year in the field of Child Development.
